The unique character of Harmonic Tides originates from two primary, unconventional sound sources, captured in intimate detail:

• Shimmering Cello Harmonics: Experience a delicate, airy texture derived from expertly performed, layered cello harmonic glissandi. Sampled across four dynamic layers per key, this sound source provides natural, organic movement and a shimmering quality ideal for evolving pads and ethereal beds. • Hollow Double Bass After-Length Bowing: Discover a sharper, more focused, and subtly tense sound created by bowing the short string sections between the bridge and tailpiece of a double bass. These core articulations were recorded using close-miking techniques to capture every nuance. Up to eight layers of solo performances were carefully layered and panned, creating an immersive stereo field.
