spectralsand is an innovative spectral delay plugin designed around a central array and the concept of signal printing. But what does that mean exactly?
In simple terms, spectralsand can divide the frequency spectrum into numerous small segments and delay each segment by a specific amount of time. This unique capability allows it to completely transform the tone of any audio it processes. And here’s the exciting part: the delay times are arranged in a graph that can be controlled by various sources! You can use basic shapes, white noise, custom waveforms, or even a separate audio input. This opens up a world of possibilities, from creating laser-like sounds to crafting beautiful soundscapes or eerie swampy atmospheres.

- Time: Adjust how much the plugin delays each frequency segment. You can also offset the delay between the left and right channels for expansive stereo effects.
- Feedback: Send the delayed signals back into themselves to generate unique, exponential echoes. (Includes a panic button to prevent ear damage.)
- Oscillator Type: Choose from various shapes to imprint onto the frequency array. You can modify the frequency and invert the shapes of the oscillators. The full version of the plugin even offers a draw-your-own custom oscillator feature.
- Binsize: Control the number of segments into which spectralsand divides your input (ranging from 128 to 2048).
- Mix: Blend the original input with the delayed output to achieve the desired balance.
- Sidechain Mode (Full Version Only): Send spectralsand a sidechain input from another audio source to explore unconventional combinations of sounds. (Includes a boost function to enhance the sidechain input.)
