New Features and Improvements

Accessibility

Screen readers now correctly follow focus inside the Learn View and the Splice label.

Browser

The Ctrl+F (Win) / Cmd+F (Mac) keyboard shortcut now selects the existing search term instead of clearing it. This makes it easier to replace the term by typing or edit it using the left and right arrow keys.

Control Surfaces

When using the Move Control Surface, selecting an audio track no longer selects its clip unless the track contains no devices.

Added Control Surface support for the Novation Launchkey MK4 88.

Interface

Updated software text in various areas of Live.

Updated various software text translations in German, Spanish, French, Italian, Japanese, and Simplified Chinese.

Live can now display remote notifications in the Status Bar, similar to notifications about automatic updates.

Max for Live

Updated the bundled version of Max to 9.1.5:

• MIDI: improved recovery from bad bytes
• Parameters: fixed param visibility getting stuck after saving in Live

Updated the Splice installer to version 1.2.1.

Live Bugfixes

Fixed a bug that affected some control surfaces, such as Move, where moving devices on a track could cause device navigation to stop working temporarily.

Fixed a crash in Live that occurred when switching the Parameter Visibility setting in the Max for Live device editor between “Automated” and other options.

Fixed a crash that could occur when sample analysis completed while the mouse was held down on the Clip Overview of the analyzed clip.

Fixed a bug where navigating video playback with the arrow keys did not work correctly in the Learn View.

Fixed a crash on macOS that could sometimes occur in certain scenarios, for example when closing Live.

Fixed a crash that could occur when making changes to device parameters that were being modulated or remote controlled by Max. For example, Live could sometimes crash when changing a parameter value in certain devices (such as Operator, Simpler, and Sampler) while another device parameter was mapped to the LFO modulator.

Fixed an issue where there were audio dropouts and a blinking disk indicator when the Transient Mode was selected within Beats warp mode while triggering playback on a locator.

Fixed a potential crash that could occur during startup.

Fixed a crash that occurred when using the Delete Unused Take Lanes command on a multi-track selection containing a Group Track.

Fixed a crash on macOS that occurred during shutdown when the shortcut Cmd+Q was used while a plug-in window was focused.

Fixed a crash that could occur on startup when opening a Live Set that contained an accompanying lesson in the Learn View.

Max for Live Bugfixes

When loading a Set or preset, a Max for Live device’s non-automatable “unstored” parameters now initialize to their default value instead of resetting to 0 or the parameter’s minimum.
