Rather than being a generic cab sim, this pack meticulously captures the character of the iconic Mesa 4×12 through detailed mic captures designed to produce thick lows, powerful mids, and a defined but non-harsh top end — a tone well-suited for rock and high-gain electric guitar styles.

Extensive Mic Captures And Multi-Mic Mixes

MES 412 OS-V2 includes 129 single microphone captures using a diverse set of classic mics (dynamic, ribbon, condenser) and 21 multi-mic mixes, for 150 total IRs that cover a wide range of tonal options and recording perspectives. The microphone palette includes SM57 variants, SM7, MD421, e906, R-121 ribbon, Beyerdynamic M160, Telefunken U47, and AKG C414, plus multiple ambient and off-axis positions, giving you flexibility for both rhythm and lead tones.
