This particular EQ module represents one of the last hand-wound point-to-point component EQs ever produced by a prestigious broadcasting corporation. It marked a pivotal moment in their console production history, as they transitioned from germanium transistor technology to silicon and outsourced their manufacturing to other major companies.
As one of the final representatives of the germanium EQ series, this unit holds immense rarity and near-impossibility to find in present times. The sampled hardware used for its digital reproduction was sourced from a broadcast console housed in Bush House, located in the heart of London. Currently, it resides at Atom Heart Studio in Italy, under the ownership of Corrado Rizzone.
