Tiger is the first Acqua plugin suite built on Core 19 technology, incorporating Acustica’s second-generation ‘Hyper’ technology and offering a comprehensive collection of their most renowned compressors.

Unlike other compressor plugins, Tiger is not limited to emulating a specific vintage unit. Instead, it aims to be a versatile tool capable of emulating multiple compressors, transcending the limitations of individual models.

The suite includes four different plugins: ‘Tiger flat,’ ‘Tiger,’ ‘Tiger Mix flat,’ and ‘Tiger Mix.’ Each plugin offers a choice between Acustica’s classic 3D GUI or a modern 2D interface.

Key features of Tiger include:

  • Accurately sampled compression curves from the best analog compressors and software, providing authentic analog character.
  • Multi-segment attack and release curves, offering program-dependent characteristics for dynamic response.
  • Modulators for attack and release times, derived from software and hardware analysis, allowing for nuanced control.
  • HOLD functionality for both attack and release, a rare feature in software compressors.
  • Variable-weighted detectors for simultaneous transient and signal handling.
  • Managed fast and slow compressors for balancing aggressive and soft compression.
  • Integrator in the detectors for parametric transient response management.
  • Dedicated circuit in the sidechain path (DEEP SPACE) for optimizing distortion.
  • True look-ahead on the attack, independent of release, for distortion optimization.
  • Comprehensive sidechain equalizer with high-pass filter and semi-parametric equalization.
  • Sophisticated oversampling for transient-friendly impulse response and zero phase alteration.
  • Each dynamic element is independent of input channels, resulting in six separate compressors.
  • Intuitive morphing control (MORPH) for seamless transformation between compressor, limiter, and saturator modes.
  • Skins with 3D graphics and flat 2D graphics for user preference.
  • Low-latency versions for tracking purposes, especially in the TIGER MIX version.
  • Resizable and responsive GUI for user convenience.
  • Overall, Tiger offers a distinctive sound and a wide range of features that set it apart as a powerful and versatile tool for audio compression.
