DRUW is a drum instrument that you perform. It runs as an instrument plugin inside your DAW, and the phone or tablet you already own becomes its playing surface, through the free BEATSURFING Performer app. Tap, slide and shake expressive pads, then record your performance as MIDI, straight into your project.
DRUW does not write the beat for you. It creates playable possibilities that invite you to move, react and perform.
Roll
Roll a complete, playable playground in one click, then roll it again, or roll a single instrument, until it feels right.
Customize
Rearrange the pads to fit your hands, pick from the included instruments and kits, or load your own samples.
Play
Perform in real time from your phone or tablet, over Wi-Fi or with a USB cable.
Expressive pads
Each pad responds to touch, to slides across its edges and to shakes, and the position of your finger can shape the sound while you play.
Sound design
Shape every sample with its start and end, amp, pitch and filter envelopes, chokes, and 8 macros per instrument.
Your timing, your choice
Quantize to your DAW’s grid, with straight, triplet and quintuplet divisions, or turn it off for a loose, human feel.
Record
Capture what you play as MIDI in your DAW.
