SnowTec Chaika
A vacuum tube preamp with a Soviet 6S45P triode—not the usual 12AX7. Open, airy highs, taut lows, and a warm second harmonic; a live spectrum analyzer on the panel.
SnowTec PEQ-1
A vacuum tube passive equalizer in the Pultec tradition—that same “lift and cut” low end, silky highs, and a vibrant on-screen curve. Photorealistic metal.
SnowTec Olimp-005C
A tape recorder saturator made from the guts of a Soviet Olympus MPK-005S reel-to-reel tape recorder: tape saturation, two speeds, flutter, noise, and line noise. No one else models this device.
SnowTec MELISMA
MIDI audio for a single-voice line—duduk, clarinet, zurna, voice, saxophone. Slides, melismas, and microtones are transmitted to the MIDI, not aligned with the piano.

AlgoVerb
Five rooms – five different delay networks, not five presets of one.
A hall, a room, a steel plate, a stone chamber, and something that can no longer be called a room. The room doesn’t change the position of the knobs, but the network itself: the length of the combs, the number of diffusers, and whether there are early reflections at all. The plate has no walls, meaning there are no reflections, and no amount of knob positioning from the hall can achieve this.
Clipper
Antiparallel diodes are the ceiling that holds
Not a “clipping-like curve,” but a solved diode equation—the same as a real circuit with an antiparallel pair. The second mode is a true hard cutoff. It’s calculated with an eightfold frequency reserve, so the junk goes where it can’t be heard.
ARARAT 2A
Not “something like the LA-2A.” A device verified against four numerical emulations.
The optical cell has memory: the longer and harder it’s burned, the slower it releases. This memory is its entire character, and it can’t be described by a static curve. Therefore, the device was built based on measurements, not descriptions: each number below is a reading from a test bench, which runs our plugin and three purchased emulations with the same signal at the same reduction.
