Ultra is a 5 Oscillator Synthesiser, available in VST, AU, and Standalone formats for Windows and MacOS. Ultra is the brainchild of Nigel Stanford, a Film Composer and Musician hailing from Wellington, New Zealand. Nigel’s passion for turning sound into visual art is reflected in his videos Cymatics, and Automatica, which have amassed over 87 million views on YouTube. This passion led him to develop a new synthesis technique called UltraWave, which is unique to Ultra. After a 7 year development period, including intensive feedback from producers around the world, Ultra is being released in Jan 2026. Ultra is supported by a small team, based in Wellington, New Zealand. All staff are both practising musicians and software developers.
